A webisode is a video program designed to be viewed on the Internet.

Fnd a program that has been designed exclusively (only) for internet viewing. Give us the site and explain it. (Do NOT give us the abc.com webisode of Desperate Housewives, for example, OR one from class lecture).

  2. The webisode I chose was "I Hate Being Single." It is currently a webisode series that shows on Blip. Blip is a website strictly for web series to show their productions. Blip’s mission statement is “to deliver the best original web series to audiences across multiple platforms." I Hate Being Single is written by Rob Michael Hugel. It is basically about Rob, who just got dumped, and how he goes through life being single and is trying to figure out where he belongs. The cast is made up of NYC comedians from the Upright Citizens Brigade which is a comedy group. Rob who is in his 20's, as well as the other comedians, goes through dating, parties, friends, and different relationships throughout the webisodes.

  3. Hulu's series, The Booth at the End follows the exploits of a mysterious man (Xander Berkelely) sitting in the back of diner, who is rumored to fulfill desires, provided he gets something in return.

The series follows the storylines of several characters who visit a mysterious figure in the booth at the back of a diner. Each character has heard rumors that this Man is able to grant desires, provided that a task is performed. Upon receiving the task, the Man's only other demand is that the character continually update him on his or her progress. Once the task is complete, the character's desire is always fulfilled.

  4. I chose the webisode series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" by Jerry Seinfeld. The webisodes start off with Jerry in some sort of classic car. He picks up a friend and they share different stories along the way. It's comedic to watch and keeps a person entertained. One episode in particular starred Seinfeld's very close friend (also from the TV show Seinfeld) George Costanza. They were talking about the Super Bowl and how they never get invited to big parties. If you watched the Super Bowl this year, these two celebrities actually aired in one of the commercials with a scene from this webisode.

    1. The Dean likes this series too. I think it's hard to get into because it's all talk.

  5. I chose one of the Japanese web drama called 世界一即戦力な男, The useful guy in the world. This story is based on real story that a guy experiences. This drama is provided Fuji TV plus, the branch station of broadcasting company named Fuji TV in Japan. The Fuji TV plus supplies webisodes to us on the web. The main character called Ryo Kikuchi is a NEET for 6 years and he does not have any academic backgrounds and any special skills. One day he realized that he has to do something, and tries finding a job. However, any companies want to hire him. Then he creates one web site to appeal himself on this site. This idea changes his life.

  6. Dena Castling:

The series I chose is called 'The Guild'. It is about a group of gaming introverts that meet in real life. They are a part of the same guild in a MMORPG (think World of Warcraft) and the main character is trying to limit her online time so she attempts to make her online social circle the same in real life.

The series lasted 6 seasons and is very entertaining, even for non-gamers.

TechnoBuffalo is a dedicated web blog that reviews technology gadgets and trends by releasing daily videos with time spans of 1-5 minuets that are specifically mad for web viewing over their YouTube channel. TechnoBuffalo's creator started as a average "YouTuber" posting videos he made himself.

  8. The Webisode I chose was by Fandago called Admit One. It's about two pals (Olan Rogers and Thomas Gore) It's a hilarious series that has the two stars getting themselves in trouble when trying to see the new movie out in theaters (FYI: Fandago sells movie tickets).

Take a look at Episode 1 Thor Admit One: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qXT-1UvSBs

  10. Dot Diva is a webisode about to girls who are video game coders in a world of mostly men . The girls were hired on the same day but they are very different one girl is very feminine and main stream while the other girl is a little more tomboyish and into more hipster or "original" type things. The webisode is about 9 minutes long.

  11. JaboodyDubs is a Youtube producer who takes advertisements you've seen on tv and dubs over the audio in each one to make the people in each video appear to be saying different things, Each episode is different and he uploads a new episode almost every week. Although the humor is crude and sometimes distasteful, I still find it hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ30YNIcUWuSz8eVJZtLEjw.

  12. I'm a huge fan of alternative culture. So when i heard that my a handful of my favorite artists came together to make viral content in attempt to change the format forever, needless to say, i was on board. JASH can be arguably one of this concepts that will make history and change the internet forever. This next excerpt can be located on the about section on www.jash.com: "Founded and featuring original content by partners Sarah Silverman, Michael Cera, Tim and Eric, and Reggie Watts, JASH is the first fully realized network to offer all its comedic partners complete creative autonomy. At Jash we always strive to offer a variety of content with a unique voice: boundaries will be pushed, and disorientation is sure to ensue."

Here's an episode from one of JASH's founding fathers, Reggie Watts

  13. The web-series I chose is called "Story Tellers"

With a multi-million subscriber following on youtube and still growing, Joey Graceffa decided to try his shot at a webseries. The link to the first episode is:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjYIGPQN_OY

Every episode of the series follows the different stories of others in the circle, most of them are connected through supernatural experiences.

  14. Dragon Ball Z is one of the most popular and influential animation series around the world. It also has very large amount of filler and poor pacing. Thankfully, we have Dragon Ball Z Abridged created by Team FourStar. It is a youtube series that takes original footage from the series but has it dubbed over. The end result is a series that is comedic and much faster paced, but still retains the same plot of the original series. This series simply couldn't exist without being in a webisode format due to copyright issues.

  15. The name of this webisode is "You Might be a Homeschooler If". It's one of many webisodes shown on Youtube by "Blimey Cow". It's a webisode full of witty remarks on the subject of popular things homeschoolers do/say. It's funny but might be a litte too slow in places. It is also a video that is only funny if you have ever been homeschooled or are close to someone who has been.
