  1. 1. This is called a QR Code, which is short for Quick Response.

    2. The typical way to read these data blocks is to have a smart phone that has a QR reader application. One of the more popular QR reader apps is called "Red Laser".

    3. A big draw of these is for the marketing of products and businesses. Example that I have used is one that my church created in the introduction of a fall sermon series we had going on this past September. Upon scanning it would take users to a "bump" video, or trailer for the upcoming series which would then lead to our website.

  2. 1.QR is short for Quick Response, it can be read quickly and easily by a cell phone. They are used to take a piece of information from a media and put it in to your cell phone.
    2. Since I have and Iphone i just searched for an app. The best reviews were for RedLaser. It is incredibly easy and fun to use.
    3. As a bargain shopper, a huge advantage for having this is being able to compare prices for a particular product. I went around my room scanning every bar code i could find, and my app showed different places I could buy the product and the price.

  3. This is a Quick Response code that is a type of matrix bar-code. You can take a picture of a bar code of any product with your smart phone and it will bring up information such as prices, nutritional values, etc. I don't have a smart phone to do this with, so I used a friend's, but I scanned a box of Cheez-Its and got its nutritional value. It told of the allergens that have the potential to be agitated when using the product which I found to be very helpful.

    3. I have seen numerous advertisements, particularly in male restrooms, that display a QR for smartphone repair (ironically). Scanning the code gives you discounts and price quotes on smartphone repairs.

  6. This is a QR code(Quick response). The advantages of this over a traditional barcode is that it contains much more information due to the horizontal and vertical data storage. The most common use is via cell phone. Smart phones can scan the qr code and present information, a video, or other media. I scanned a wine bottle with a QR code and it showed me production information and aging dates. QRcode.com
